"Art in Nature" at the Fruitlands Museum

With Museum assistance, particularly from Mike Volmar,  I installed "Watching" at the Fruitlands Museum this week in some pear trees. The sculpture exhibition will open May 11th and run until through to the end of October. www.fruitlands.org
This installation is designed to function as theatrical scrim, and appear and disappear from view depending upon the sunlight and the viewer's position.

From my statement for this installation:
We are increasingly subject to scrutiny and invasions of our privacy as a result of innovations in technology. Also, as we manipulate the environment for our own short-term ends at the expense of fellow life-forms, we have reason to feel guilty and wonder If Nature watches us.
This image was taken by the Museum staff this week.  I am waiting to see the effect of the full foliage as the year progresses. There are five eyes in this installation. (Steel, aluminum mesh, acrylic paint)
